The 2009 program will take place July 12-22, 2009 at Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Applications are now being accepted.

Applicants shall receive notification of acceptance and scholarship award (if applicable) PER EMAIL within 14 days of receipt of complete application. Invitation to join the post-IMIF concert tour shall be sent by April 30, 2009.
Tuition and Scholarships/Assistantships:
Tuition for IMIF 2009: $1795 USD. Includes:
Scholarship assistance is available. Priority is given to those applicants showing highest merit as demonstrated on the audition tape, and to early applicants. Financial need is used only as a secondary consideration. For scholarship consideration, please include a letter of request with your application. Your letter must include total annual household income, your reasons for requesting a scholarship and the amount requested. You may also include supporting materials, e.g. programs, awards, additional letters of recommendation, etc. Students are encouraged to seek out sponsors in their communities (e.g. religious groups, schools, arts or civic organizations, private donors, and local businesses).
A limited number of accompanying assistantships are available to pianists. Selected recipients will be expected to perform a moderate amount of accompanying of IMIF string participants for master classes and/or recitals. Piano parts will be sent approximately one month prior to the start of IMIF.
Participants Under Age 13:
The presence of a parent/guardian is mandatory for participants under the age of 13. Parent/guardian registration includes full room and board and inclusion in all IMIF events.
Concert Tour:
The optional post-IMIF concert concert and sightseeing tour is open to selected IMIF participants. Tour participants will perform as soloists and/or as part of ensembles in three “Music for Peace” concerts in southern Pennsylvania from from July 22-27, 2009. Selection is based on audition materials sent with application. Tour participants will be housed with host families and will be charged a nominal fee for transportation/logistics.
