Lithuanian Violinist Promotes Cultural and Social Relations Through Music
September 28, 2014 — On the invitation of Intermuse Performing Artists Bureau Ltd., in arrangement with the Embassy of Lithuania and the U.S. Consortium for Cultural Relations and the International Friends of Music Association, Mr. Borisas Traubas, a prominent Lithuanian violinist and representative of the Jewish Community of Lithuania, visited the USA from September 15-28, 2014.
During his visit, Mr. Traubas gave 14 presentations, including concerts, master classes, and special meetings in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C. In several performances he was joined by The American Virtuosi (www.TheAmericanVirtuosi.com)

All events were very well attended, and the presentations by Mr. Traubas and the American Virtuosi were enthusiastically rewarded with standing ovations.
Mr. Zygimantas Pavilionis, Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the USA, stated: ”Mr. Traubas' visit and cooperation with the American Virtuosi has further contributed to U.S. - Lithuanian relations. The theme of this visit —"Music, the Best Bridge for All People” — was so well implemented by these artists, and has penetrated the mind and hearts of many people."
Following a very successful concert by Mr. Traubas and the American Virtuosi at Mount Saint Mary’s University, Dr. Andrew Rosenfeld, Chairman of the Performing Arts Department at MSMU said, “This was not only an exceptionally high musical event, but also a catalyst to unite people of different walks of life.”
The presenters of these events expressed not only great gratitude, but strong hope that with the help of American and Lithuanian authorities, the inspirational concerts by Mr. Traubas and the American Virtuosi, will continue to benefit both the people of America and Lithuania.
